KWH Academy’s Emotional Intelligence Certificate Course is a 2 to 4 hour online and self-paced course designed to give you the skills and tools to validate and understand others’ emotions. At its core, emotional intelligence is our ability to accurately identify others’ and our own emotions, manage our emotions, and effectively communicate them.
You’ll understand how emotional intelligence influences your ability to articulate your beliefs effectively and understand your barriers so you can reach your goals.

Curriculum
Session 1: Course Overview
This session covers the Introduction and course outline.
Session 2: History of Emotional Intelligence
Students will learn the history of emotional intelligence, including the names of key scholars and the work they’ve done.
Session 3: Emotional Intelligence Defined
Participants will learn the definitions related to emotional intelligence and look at the discoveries of some of the primary experts in the field.
Session 4: Emotional Intelligence Blueprint
Learners will understand helpful skills and tools that will help them improve their emotional intelligence.
Session 5: Optimism
See the glass half full rather than half empty. Participants will learn to differentiate between optimism and pessimism, discover the major characteristics of each, and consider the value of both attitudes.
Session 6: Validating Emotions in Others
Someone who’s emotionally intelligent is able to measure their own emotions and understand how to recognize what other people may be feeling. Students will learn tools to help them validate emotions in others.
Session 7: Understanding Emotions
Learners will know the signs of emotions and how to read the emotional map.
Session 8: Setting Your Personal Vision
When learners can articulate what they believe in and know what they want, they’re more likely to create the circumstances to reach their goals. These kinds of exercises help participants to create their own life plan. Define what students believe and what their values are, and then consider what barriers may be in the way of getting what they want.
